Patricia Neidengard woke up in the middle of the night with the distinct feeling that her bed was floating on waves in the ocean. But she wasn’t having a dream. She was having a stroke. “I tried to get up, and the feeling of being tossed around only got worse,” she recalled. As a registered nurse, she knew something was terribly wrong. “I yelled out to my daughter for help and to call 911.”
